Terms of Use

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and HungBok (“HungBok,” “HeungBok,” “HeungBok Lee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning Kirocal (the “App”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. Do not use the App if you do not agree to them.

These Terms apply to the App’s free features, optional Premium subscription features, backup and restore features, receipt-management features, and any optional AI-enabled receipt correction features.

2. Eligibility and Apple Account

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement under the laws that apply to you. You are responsible for the Apple Account, device, network connection, and permissions used to access the App.

Kirocal does not require a separate Kirocal user account. Some functions, including purchases, subscription management, and iCloud storage, may require you to be signed in to your Apple Account and to enable the relevant Apple services.

3. License and Apple Terms

Subject to these Terms, HungBok grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal and lawful use.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms, including the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Where the Apple Standard EULA applies, it governs the license relationship for the App. These Terms address additional conditions for Kirocal’s services and features.

4. Kirocal Features

Kirocal is designed to help you record and organize personal financial information, including income, expenses, transfers, assets, payment methods, categories, recurring transactions, subscriptions, receipts, notes, and related settings.

The App may also provide calculations, summaries, budget-related displays, exchange-rate information, receipt image handling, scanning or import tools, data export/import, device backups, iCloud backup where available, and optional AI receipt correction. Feature availability can vary by App version, device, region, App Store storefront, operating system, subscription status, or third-party service availability.

Any figures, conversions, predictions, summaries, or categorizations shown by the App are informational tools only. You remain responsible for reviewing records, verifying amounts, and making your own financial decisions.

5. Your Data and Responsibilities

You are responsible for the information, images, files, records, and other material that you add to, import into, or create through the App (“Your Data”). You confirm that you have all rights, permissions, and lawful authority necessary to use Your Data with the App and with any third-party service you choose to use through the App.

You must not use Kirocal to store or process material that is unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, defamatory, or harmful. Do not enter full payment-card details, passwords, government identification data, or other highly sensitive information unless you understand and accept the security and privacy implications of doing so.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure, maintaining current backups, and checking the accuracy of records before relying on them. You may delete, export, or restore App data using the features available in the App, subject to the limits and behavior displayed in the App at the time of use.

6. AI Receipt Correction

AI Receipt Correction is optional. When enabled, it may analyze receipt images or files to propose fields for your review, such as merchant, date, amount, payment information, or line items. AI-generated or AI-assisted output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You must review and confirm all suggested fields before saving or using them.

Depending on your selected provider and configuration, receipt data and images may be transmitted to an external AI provider for processing. Use of an external provider is subject to that provider’s own terms, privacy practices, and service availability. Where you choose to enter your own API key, you are responsible for that key, related provider charges, and compliance with the provider’s terms.

You must not use AI Receipt Correction to create deceptive, forged, fraudulent, or misleading records. The feature is not a substitute for official receipts, tax records, accounting records, or professional advice.

7. Premium Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Kirocal may offer optional automatically renewing Premium subscriptions, including monthly and yearly subscription periods. Premium may unlock additional features or higher usage limits. The exact features, subscription period, price, currency, taxes, and renewal terms shown in the App Store purchase flow control for that purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when Apple confirms your purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
• Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings after purchase.
• Eligible prior purchases may be restored using the App’s Restore Purchases feature.
• Apple, not HungBok, processes App Store billing, refunds, and purchase records. Your purchase is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms and policies.

We may change Premium features or introduce new plans in the future. Any price change for an existing automatically renewing subscription is handled through Apple in accordance with Apple’s applicable policies and your required consent, where applicable.

8. Backup, Export, Import, and Restore

Kirocal may allow data export, import, device backup, and iCloud backup where available. These functions are convenience features, not a guaranteed archival or disaster-recovery service. You are responsible for verifying that backups and exports are complete, readable, securely stored, and appropriate for your needs.

Importing data or restoring a backup can overwrite current App data. Review all warnings shown by the App before proceeding. HungBok is not responsible for data loss caused by an import, restore, reset, unsupported file, device failure, iCloud unavailability, or an action taken by you or a third party.

9. Prohibited Use

You may not, and may not help another person to:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or reverse engineer the App except where applicable law does not allow that restriction;
• use the App to violate law, infringe rights, commit fraud, evade taxes, or create false financial or receipt records;
• interfere with the App, its security, its purchase flow, or its connections to third-party services;
• circumvent, disable, or attempt to bypass subscription controls, feature limits, or technical restrictions; or
• use the App in a way that could harm HungBok, Apple, an AI provider, another user, or any third party.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with Apple services, iCloud, App Store services, exchange-rate providers, camera or photo/file services, and optional AI providers. These services are provided by their respective owners, not by HungBok. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their content, their availability, their security, or their terms.

Your use of third-party services may require separate accounts, permissions, fees, or acceptance of separate terms. You should review those terms and privacy notices before using a third-party service.

11. Intellectual Property

The App, its software, visual design, interface, text, graphics, trademarks, and other content supplied by HungBok are owned by or licensed to HungBok and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

“Kirocal” and related visual assets are identifiers of the App. You may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship without prior written permission.

12. Availability, Updates, and Changes

We may update, improve, suspend, limit, or discontinue all or part of the App at any time. We do not guarantee that every feature will be available at all times or on every device, in every region, or with every App version.

You may need to install App or operating-system updates to keep using certain features. We may provide updates to address security, performance, compatibility, legal, or operational requirements.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” HungBok does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Without limiting the above, HungBok does not guarantee the accuracy of entered data, receipt scans, AI output, exchange-rate information, calculations, imported data, exported data, backups, iCloud availability, or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HungBok will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, savings, business opportunity, or financial loss arising from or related to the App or these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HungBok’s total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid directly to HungBok for the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where applicable law prohibits it.

15. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device and managing any active subscription through your Apple Account.

We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the App if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the App, or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and applicable-law provisions.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms when the App, its services, applicable law, or operational requirements change. The updated Terms will be posted at this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of updated Terms means that you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

17. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the relationship between you and HungBok, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence provides otherwise. Any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any mandatory venue or consumer-rights rules.
